Today’s card is a Father’s Day card I created for my Card Club. See the photo of the May 2018 Paper Pumpkin alternates below. I really like the card on the right so I decided to CASE it.
Below is the May 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit – Manly Moments. I think this is my favorite kit so far!
I don’t have enough refills of this kit to accommodate everyone in the club, so I improvised with what I have. Turned out the only part of the kit that I used was the Soft Sea Foam card bases and the Mint Macaron envelopes. This is what I came up with:
I created a card base from Mint Macaron card stock and added a piece of the Wood Textures DSP to the front.
I cut one side of the Soft Sea Foam card base into a 3 3/8″ x 5″ piece for the inside of the card. I cut out a circle from the other side using the largest circle in the Layering Circle Framelits dies.
Using the Waterfront stamp set, I stamped a scene of mountains, a lake and pine trees on the circle. This is so easy to do with this stamp set, I love it! I popped the scene up on the card, added an embossed sentiment on Tranquil Tide card stock, and added some burlap and buttons.
I finished the inside with some more of the wood paper, stamped trees and a Father’s Day sentiment:
I feel like I went a little crazy with the buttons, but I like it.
Looks great with the Mint Macaron envelope from the Paper Pumpkin kit.
I think this is a great masculine card and could also be used for many different occasions. I hope my Card Club ladies like it!
Thanks for stopping by!
