Holiday, Treat Box

Christmas Cookie Gift Box

Welcome to the Pals monthly blog hop. We’re so glad you’re here! December is time for glitz and bling with  “All that Sparkles & Shines”. Today we feature projects that sparkle or shine. Maybe even a little of both.

You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I love making gift boxes using Designer Series Papers! When I bought some yummy peppermint cookies for gifts, I decided the perfect packaging was little gift boxes using the All is Bright DSP:

This is my favorite paper in the DSP pack. I definitely think it has built-in “sparkle and shine.” So much that I didn’t think it needed any added bling.

I measured the little package of cookies and cut the Real Red card stock to make the bottom of the box and the All is Bright DSP to make the top of the box.

I added the gorgeous (and shiny) mixed satin ribbon and a couple of embellishments from the 2017 Holiday Catalog. I have been trying really hard to use up retired product instead of hoarding it.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s hoppers. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created. Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, January 9, 2019 when our Hoppin’ Pals share projects “From the Heart”. Don’t miss the fun.

  1. Linda, this treat box is super sweet in so many ways! I love the colors and the bling that you added with the tiny ornaments. Thanks for sharing this beautiful project 🙂

  2. This box looks like a great size for many things. Would you post the measurements? I too love using DSP for box tops. So pretty!

    1. Thank you! I don’t have the boxes anymore and I didn’t record the measurements, but I believe the bottom was 5” square card stock scored at 1” on all sides and the top was 5 1/8” DSP scored at 1” on all sides.
